Black Bean Balls

This spaghetti dish is the best comfort food that is sure to please everyone, any day of the week. The black beans balls are created with black beans, flaxseed and rolled oats, making them extremely nutritious!

INGREDIENTS

2 garlic cloves
5 Tbsp. rolled oats
1 small white onion, roughly chopped
A handful fresh coriander
2 Tbsp. flaxseeds
1 Tbsp. ground smoked paprika
To Serve:
Caramelised red onion (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste

METHOD

1. Place all ingredients for the black bean balls into a food processor and process until roughly combined. Be careful not to overmix.

2. Using your hands, form little round balls from the mixture and lay them onto a plate. Place them in the fridge for 20 minutes to set, and preheat your sunflower oil in a non-stick frying pan in the meantime.

3. Fry your bean balls until golden on all sides.

4. Prepare your spaghetti according to the instructions on the packet and serve them with your favourite pasta sauce and the black bean balls.
