Gluten Free Porridge

This porridge is a great breakfast option for those having a cosy day in! Made with rice flake porridge, this dish is completely gluten free. Frankie, from @glutenfree_frankie, shares her thick porridge recipe with us: “I have had a lot of questions as to how I make my porridge in the mornings as its so thick and cakes. So I thought I would share with you the ingredients I use, and the method for you to replicate the cakiness.”

INGREDIENTS

50g rice flake porridge
2 scoops of protein powder
350ml almond milk
1 banana
Handful of fresh blueberries and raspberries

METHOD

1. Pour the rice flakes into a bowl and mix in the protein powder. Add the milk and stir until thoroughly combined.

2. Place in the microwave on full power for two minutes. Remove the bowl and stir in the fresh berries.

3. Put back in the microwave for another two minutes, stirring every minute.

4. Slice up the banana and prepare the rest of the porridge toppings.

5. Take the bowl out of the microwave and leave to sit for one minute. Add the bananas, chocolate spread, and other toppings. Enjoy while still warm.
