Vegan Cheesy Loaded Fries

Vegan comfort food with the pure #foodporn factor!

If you’ve been missing the fantastic British chip chop dish that are cheesy fries, then this one’s for you – pure deliciousness!

2-4 people



300g French Fries
1 Spring Onion
200 ml Soy Milk
1 Tbsp Tapioca Starch
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
Pepper to taste
1 splash of Sriracha (if you like it spicy!)
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder


1. Place your french fries in the oven and bake them according to the packaging instructions.

2. In the mean time, prepare the drain the chick peas, set them aside and prepare your cheese sauce by adding the rest of the ingredients (apart from the spring onion) to a sauce pan. Stir with whisk and heat up over medium heat until tapioca gets activated and the sauce begins to thicken.

3. Assemble your loaded fries! We have used a shallow oven dish and placed first a couple of chick peas at the bottom, then 1-2 Tbsp of the cheesy sauce, the fries and the remainder of the chick peas & cheesy sauce.

4. Chop the spring onion diagonally and drizzle the pieces on the top to finish off the dish.

5. Get digging in!
